Salary:
£27,852 - £29,439 FTE (£24,171 - £25,548 pro rata)


We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our team here at Nottingham Academy, based at our Secondary Site.

The role:

To provide an intensive support service using knowledge of local services for parents/carers.

Understand and promote the rights and responsibilities of parents/carers in order to help them build engagement with children's learning and get the most out of the educational opportunities available.


To be successful, you will need:

  • to have a good understanding of child development and the benefit of parent involvement
- be willing to undertake the role of a Deputy Designated Safeguard Lead
- to promote the rights and responsibilities of parents/carers in raising their children
- to be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with both families, colleagues and external agencies
- to be a team player and also able to work on your own initiative
- to have a caring and empathic nature, demonstrating excellent communications skills
- experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
