This business is looking for an ambitious Purchase Ledger Clerk that wants to push themselves and learn about other areas of finance whilst progressing within a business.

You will get plenty of support along the way and be encouraged by the Financial Controller to learn about other tasks such as Sales Ledger and Credit Control alongside month end closure.


The Finance Controller will tailor her mentoring to what works best for you; she doesn't want to 'pigeonhole' her staff so you will shadow other people within the finance team to see what interests you.

Below is a list of your key responsibilities in this role

  • Receiving, checking, and processing purchase invoices ensuring sign off in line with set schedules and processes.
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Dealing with supplier queries.
  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with monthly tasks
  • Learning about other areas of finance such as sales ledger and credit control
