The role of the phlebotomist is to collect blood samples by venepuncture from patients ensuring patient, personal a nd colleague safety by adhering to departmental and divisional policies and procedures and relevant health and safety Guidance To provide a high quality, safe and supportive environment in order to care for patients meeting the identified physical and psycho-social needs

The post holder will:

Experience of venepuncture is essential be educated to standard grade level of have equivalent experience
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must have experience of working in mental health services
Must have up to date mandatory Medical emergency training and Violence reduction training
Reliability and selfmotivation Willing to accept additional roles in post as it evolves.
