Salary:
£23,000- £25,000 basic OTE £26-£30k

Location Crawley, Sussex

My client is looking to recruit an Assistant Store Manager in one of their 5 branches. This role based in Crawley is to work within a well-established retail organisation operating within the warehouse facility industry.

You would be joining a close-knitteam of 2 who have been with the organisation for nearly 20 years and know the branch operations like the back of their hand.


An Assistant Store Manager will work within the team focused on answering customers inbound enquiries focused on converting them into sales.

You will be a friendly and outgoing character who enjoys working with customers.

You will be willing to get stuckin and be part of the team covering all aspects of a varied position.


The role of the Assistant Store Manager includes: - Ensuring all queries and quotations from potential customers are answered within a timely manner and converting them into sales by ringing the customers and understanding their needs.


  • Covering days when the manager isn't present and delegating tasks to the sales advisor in the team.
  • Working alongside the sales advisor to make sure the shop floor is clean and tidy and replenishing stock when needed.
  • Completing general administration duties such as the list for the cleaner, reserving units, checking licenses for van hires and take card payments over the phone.
  • Occasionally using the Forklift to load and unload goods from clients in a safe and timely manner. (Full training given)
To be considered for the role of Assistant Store Manager, you should be/have:

  • A Sales background in a retail or service environment
  • Computer literate and strong administration skills
  • Eager to Learn their products and their clientele
  • The ability to negotiate costs and deliver first class customer service over the phone and face to face
  • Have the drive to hit monthly targets
  • Be a peoples person and have he ability to build rapport easily
