Please note there is one full time (37.5 hours) and one 30 hour post available. The salary for part time position will be pro-rata.

JOB ROLE:


Be the first point of contact for the Lanarkshire Improving the Cancer Journey service so that people affected by cancer can access the service, as well as be the point of contact for colleagues and other organisations across Lanarkshire.

Provide administrative support to the Programme Manager and Project Management Team as we move from service planning, to service delivery and ongoing monitoring of the ICJ service.

Contribute to the development of the Lanarkshire programme, involving health and social care professionals, Local Authority, users, carers and wider public and third sector colleagues

Whilst this post is within NHSL, the post holder will be based in VASLan offices, Almada Street, Hamilton the staff will also be equipped to work remotely if necessary.

This post will report to the ICJ Macmillan Programme Manager.


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
Work experience in an Administrative and Clerical role.

Educated to Higher Grade level.

Ability to supervise staff.

Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.

Excellent communication skills.

Good organisational and planning skills.

Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.

Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.

Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
