Are you looking for a role where you can make a real difference to the lives of children and young people across North East Lincolnshire?


We are looking for a Team Leader to help support a new project for the Youth Justice service sitting within our Mental Health Support Team.

You will have all the skills you would expect from a Team Leader but most importantly, you will care about children and young people and want to make a difference.


North East Lincolnshire Mental Health Support Teams ensures CYP access the right help, at the right time, in the right setting, MHST teams will remove duplication and avoid CYP/families being 'bounced' in between services.

Compass has a successful track record in early intervention health and wellbeing services for children and young people.

About You:


The Team Leader will lead on the delivery of support to Children and Young People (CYP) in contact with Youth Justice Services to access the right mental health and emotional wellbeing services at the right time and to promote mental health and emotional wellbeing.

They will manage a small team of Youth Justice Health and Wellbeing Workers who will be engaging with CYP in the community through the delivery of mental health and emotional wellbeing outreach activities.

The vision of the service will be to;

  • Increase Children and Young People's awareness of the impact of mental wellbeing
  • Divert 'at risk' children and young people away from offending
  • Positively contribute to the reduction of offending/reoffending
  • Improve young offenders' emotional wellbeing and outcomes


The Team Leader will take a lead role in developing a range of interventions and brief intervention packages to meet the needs of the children and young people accessing the service.


The Team Leader will contribute to the service to ensure that young people consistently receive high quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards.

Responsible for contributing to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved.


The Children and Young Peoples Criminal Justice Emotional and Mental Health and Wellbeing Service uses a hub and spoke model and has co-location within North East Lincolnshire Youth Justice Service.
