We are partnered with a leading Insurance brokerage who have vacancies across both Personal Lines and Commercial for an Account Handler, due to huge growth across the organisation.

They are City Centre based and have a unique employee owned model, whereby eachmember of staff owns a stake in the organisation.

This brokerage hates micromanagement, empowers and promotes their staff. They have over £75 million GDP and are fiercely independent with no plans to sell.

As an Insurance broker you will be responsible for providing client support for a panel of appointed representatives who need support with their book of business.

This model is unique and means you will not be doing any sales or working to strict and stressfultargets.
As an Account Handler you will be ;

  • Managing relationships with your Appointed Representatives and carrying out administrative work
  • Using Acturis to appropriately log new quotations and policies
  • Providing a market leading broking service, ensuring clients are receiving an excellent service
  • Keeping your ARs up to date with any renewals, new policies or client updates
  • Working in line with FCA regulatory requirements and ensuring brokers are also following compliance guidelines.
  • They cover both Home Insurance and Motor in Personal Lines, in Commercial they cover all aspects and classes.
What this role as an Account handler will not involve ;

  • Being micromanaged
  • Working in a battery hen call centre
  • Dealing directly with clients who do not have technical knowledge, your ARs understand the market conditions and handle any difficult conversations.

The package as an Account Handler:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 9am5pm (some flexibility)
  • Hybrid working after 3 months
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Defined progression plan with excellent track record of progressing the team into management
  • Potential study support for cert CII based on service
