To lead on the development of creating robust involvement opportunities for young people and young adults (likely to be aged between 14 to 25) including young people who have used health services to ensure that the views of young people are heard and contribute to Trust and service development.

To lead and support the involvement of young people in Trust projects which have been identified as requiring young persons perspective and involvement.

To ensure that all involvement opportunities for young people are beneficial to their own personal development and support their future career aspirations and wellbeing.


Where appropriate collaborate with statutory and non-statutory organisations to create a robust network of young peoples involvement and co production.

To lead on collaborating with other partners within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to expand and support the development of a system approach for involving young people in co-production.

To lead on attending events relevant to young people and creating relationships across the system to support and publicise involvement opportunities within the Trust and across the community for young people.

To ensure that all young peoples involvement (including social media accounts) has an appropriate governance framework to ensure the that safeguarding young people remains central to good involvement practise.


To take responsibility for maintaining the carer and involvement social media accounts, the carer intranet pages, and public webpages related to carers and ensuring a robust and engaging information is available.

To be responsible for the development and management of age-appropriate social media accounts including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok for young peoples involvement.

To lead on attending events relevant to young people and creating relationships across the system to support and publicise involvement opportunities within the Trust and across the community for young people.

Take responsibility for the development with young people of a young peoples involvement strategy linking this to the Trust Involvement strategy.

To be up to date with relevant literature regarding young peoples involvement and co production.

To be responsible for managing the payment process of young people when they are involved in co production activities adhering to the Trust policy regarding reimbursement for co production.

To contribute to the development of events to celebrate co production week.

To provide leadership in the development of a robust approach to ensuring that carers are identified within the Trust and that their needs are recognised and addressed and collaborate with the clinical directorates and corporate directorate on ensuring that this is embedded.


In conjunction with the Associate Director of Involvement and Partnerships to collaborate with our system partners (statutory and non-statutory) and carers on identified projects focused on carers and other relevant groups.

To ensure that key projects related to carers are embedded within the Trust. These include Carer Friendly Tick, Triangle of Care and any other additional projects identified in the future.

To be aware of the statutory guidance relating to carers, to lead and work collaboratively with the appropriate directorate, carer organisation and the Carer Programme Board to ensure that the Trust is compliant and that there is a clear process to demonstrate the Trusts compliance.


To create a robust community of carer leads who are engaged and contributing to the development of a carer aware culture within CPFT ensuring that there is regular updates, resources, appropriate training, and support for them including carer lead drop-in sessions / carer newsletters.

To take a lead on developing resources to celebrate To work with the Carers Programme Board, Carers and the Patient Experience lead to ensure that the carer experience questionnaires are reflective of what is important to carers.

To be responsible for monitoring carer experience feedback and lead on trend analysis and triangulation of complaints, concerns, compliments and comments related to carers ensuring that key themes are identified.

Present this to the Carer Programme Board and ensure that where appropriate plans of work to address these issues are developed in conjunction with carers and clinical directorates.


To take responsibility in conjunction with the Associate Directorate of Involvement and Partnerships for the planning and coordination of the carers programme board meetings, the carer programme board workplan and for ensuring that the Trust is achieving on the key areas identified.
