Swindon or Fareham - hybrid working.

Office presence will be required approximately 2 days per week
The opportunity:


  • A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a People Hub Consultant to join the People Team.
  • The People Hub consists of a team of highly skilled HR generalists, supporting managers and their teams to deliver on our business strategy. The Hub manages 80% of all interactions with managers and employees, with a "coach to answers" approach.
  • Our People Hub Consultants will be the first point of contact for all employees, managers and leaders. Their role is vital to the success of the customer experience.
  • You will be responsible for the effective and timely resolution of employee questions or escalation where appropriate. Queries can be simple to resolve or more complex in nature and will be across all disciplines within HR such as payroll, annual leave, HR Systems, benefits etc.
  • The role will require you to liaise with stakeholders at varying levels so being a natural communicator with the ability to engage, influence and advise these stakeholders will be key.
  • This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in moving into the People Team. We're not looking for a vast amount of knowledge and experience, what is important to us is the softer skills, the rest we can teach you

    What will you be doing?
  • In your role as People Hub Consultant you will be required to:
  • Answer customer questions and provide advice on a wide range of People topics
- these queries will either be via telephone, through Live Chat or raised tickets via the portal.

  • Can recognise more complicated scenarios and know when to refer to wider team
  • Manage multiple chats and ticket interaction, using Service Now.
  • Maintain effective customer relationships to provide excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Identify appropriate parties to include or consult in problem solving process.
  • Ensure data integrity in all transactions.
  • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement activities to improve the customer experience.
  • Working towards commercial acumen.
  • Committed to Career development and potential career path in the Hub.

What are we looking for?

  • Successful applicants will have excellent customer service experience, an ability to solve problems and investigate requests in a timely and methodical manner

Other requirements include:

  • Be able to influence and negotiate with individuals and groups to gain consensus and resolving conflict to produce win/win outcomes.
  • Able to use well developed verbal and written communication skills to deliver a variety of messages to a range of individuals and groups at all levels within the organisation.
  • Be a supportive and collaborative team player.
  • Be able to cope with constantly varying workloads and pressures.
  • Good numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability to review and change processes.
  • Have good experience of working in customer service role, working with a range of communication tools.

  • There will be a requirement to travel to other Zurich offices occasionally, depending on business requirements
