This position is a crucial part of the Forestry England IT Team reporting to the IT Service Coordinator.
This role involves providing system administrative support and project support while collaborating on 3rd party contracts and supplier management.

Job description:
  • We have a diverse IT user community of approximately 1800 individuals with a wide geographical spread across various business functions such as forestry management, timber harvesting, recreation and events management, and visitor center operations. Maintaining top-notch IT services is vital to meet our corporate objectives and ensure future growth. To support this, we have set up a new IT team to manage and enhance our services.

  • This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated administrative professional to join our IT Service Desk team during a significant IT transformation period, as we continue to expand our customer base rapidly.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate management of key activities for projects and routine operations.
  • Document essential procedures.
  • Manage print elements, IT hardware, and disposal contracts.
  • Update and administer Joiners, Movers, and Leavers processes.
  • Handle IT Service Desk and end-user system administration.
  • Collaborate with the IT Service Coordinator to maintain precise asset records.
