What are we looking for?


We currently have an interesting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our operations team and work alongside the Shift Managers.

This position will be responsible for assisting in overseeing a shift and team leaders.

This role works on a shift that rotates across the hours shown below:

Early à 06:00 am Till 14:00 pm

Late à 14:00 pm till 22:00 pm


We are looking for someone who has previously worked as a supervisor, who has managed both team leaders and a large team of operational staff.

Ideally this person will have come from the logistics, manufacturing, or automotive industries.

Due to 30% of this work being office-based, a detailed understanding of Microsoft software and expertise with a system would be advantageous.


What will this role consist of?


This position will work under the shift managers, ensuring that both the team leaders and operational staff, are on schedule with the works, to meet the targets that have been set.

They will assist in the planning and scheduling of work, training and coaching of new employees, and monitoring and evaluation of their team members performance.


Additional Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Develops Team Leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned Team Members
  • Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the tasks in a safe, effective manner
  • Monitors and measures team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics
  • Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
  • Follow company policy regarding all health and safety procedures
  • Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements
  • Maintenance of all storage locations and labelling
  • Liaise with materials dept. to ensure on time receipt and shipment of material
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Deal with any communication that is needed to both internal and external customers

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred
  • 2 years' experience supervising in an automotive, manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills. Spanish verbal skills are preferred
  • Good Team Leader Skills
  • Ability to train and develop a team well
  • Proficient in working with operation managers, staff and functional departments

How you will contribute

Your Key Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • Experience supervising in an Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience and or training regarding the Occupational Health & Safety, 5S, Lean Methodologies preferred.
  • Quality systems knowledge to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: timekeeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
