I have a new vacancy for a Accounts Assistant, in Birchwood Warrington - This is a 6 month fixed term contract.


Flexible working hours between 7 & 7.

Must have Sage 50 Exp.

Full time office based.

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for maintaining efficient and effective cash processes within the business and ensuring that all supporting paperwork is processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Working in a small finance team, this exciting opportunity will give you exposure to many aspects of the finance function and enable you to liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller your role as Accounts Assistant will include but not be limited to:

  • Daily cash postings and bank reconciliations;
  • Cash reconciliations for each store;
  • High volume processing of paperwork (invoices, receipts etc.) from stores;
  • Handling queries and improving processes;
  • Purchase ledger support including supplier reconciliations and payment runs;
  • Posting Journals;
  • Assisting the Management Accountant with month end processes.

The Successful Applicant
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with the following skills and experience:

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in working in a fastpaced highvolume environment;
  • Excellent organisation skills with an attention to detail;
  • Self motivated with the ability to work under pressure;
  • Confident in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong excel skills is a must and experience of SAGE is beneficial;
