What is the role?


Subsea7 have an exciting opportunity for a SCM Process & Systems Specialist to join our Corporate Supply Chain Management and Operational Systems team.

The position will be accountable for supporting Subsea7's Supply Chain Processes & Systems development and ensuring the implementation across the function globally.

This will be an initial 6-month contract.

What is the role and the responsibilities?

  • Proactively supports the development and refinement of the SCM processes, systems, and tools to improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce risk
  • Represents the business and supports the development of SCM eProcurement and related systems
  • Plans, executes, and retains ownership of appointed SCM improvement initiatives
  • Contributes to the SCM systems strategy and evolution
  • Research new systems and ways of working in the Supply Chain area
  • Supports crossregional team networks management
  • Supports related change management initiatives
  • Maintains repositories of related information for the SCM community
  • Supports development of training, awareness, and process related material
  • Supports business cases development for developing projects & initiatives
  • Communicates with all the regional and business unit SCM teams
  • Collaborates with 3rd parties as part of business initiatives
  • Contributes to Subsea7 supplier risk, due diligence and compliance process
  • Supports and monitors SCM related audits
  • Provides data on various aspect of SCM activity
  • Supports monitoring and creating corrective action plans for process compliance

Who are we looking for?

  • Secondary & college level education essential, degree desirable
  • Supply Chain vocational qualification (e.g., CIPS)

Skills

  • Strongly motivated to improve our ways of working and digitalisation of our SCM systems
  • Varying methods of communication and ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation e.g., able to articulate technical matters such that they can be understood by all
  • Leadership attributes, a keen influencer
  • Highly collaborative team player, whilst proactive and selfmotivated
  • Ability to lead workshop type activities
  • Able to manage conflicting stakeholder views towards a positive outcome
  • Able to make work plans under conditions of uncertainty
  • Educates themselves in SCM and industry developments, to maintain awareness of current best practice and future direction for progress

Experience

  • Generic Supply Chain procurement processes essential
  • SAP Ariba knowledge and experience, desirable
  • Understand logistics processes, desirable
  • Culturally aware and internationally minded
  • Infrequent global travel as required by current initiatives/projects. _
