ROLE SUMMARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist teachers as follows:
Carry out classroom activities including hearing readers and mounting displays;
Work with individuals or small groups of children on key tasks, under the direction of the class teacher;
Attend first aid training as necessary and administer first aid as required;
Accompany children to and from and supervise children during off site activities, e.g. games and educational trips;
Prepare and clear up resources, and maintain resource areas;
Change children's clothing before and after P.E., games and swimming lessons;
Supervise swimming lessons;
Undertake lunchtime supervision, including road crossing of pupils, as required;
Undertake other such reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
