Description

The Associated Press, a renowned global news organization with a rich history, is looking for an MCR Operator to join its London office and be part of the Global MCR team.

Main responsibilities:
Operating AP MCRs in London, Washington DC, and New York
Supporting various AP departments with MCR and digital production systems
Quality monitoring of video and audio signals
Ensuring high technical quality through backup procedures
Performing satellite transmission and reception operations
Operating AP's global fibre network
Reporting and resolving faults

The role involves shift work, including nights and requires fluency in English.

Required qualifications and experience:

Experience in a fast-paced Master control room
Knowledge of satellite transmission techniques
Experience with Video Production & Content Management systems
Understanding of file-based production workflows
Knowledge of international satellite and fibre networks
Understanding of compression and Video over IP technologies
