Description
Base salary on offer £45-55,000 DOE, with a bonus to 27.5% which has been paid in full every year for the last 5.
Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days being remote.
Purpose of Role
Key responsibilities will be to produce timely, accurate and insightful Management Accounting, and Reporting for Northern Ireland & the Retail Division.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring these are delivered to a high quality meeting reporting deadlines.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
- Deliver insightful analysis and commentary on all key variances to budget/forecast/prior year to explain and drive performance
- Ensure certain group reporting requirements are completed within required deadlines and to a high standard
- Preparation of annual budgets to create, review and upload annual budgets
- Assist in collation of audit files and audit deliverables for Interim and yearend audit.
- Ensuring that all queries from internal customers are dealt with effectively
- Support adhoc analysis in conjunction with key stakeholders to understand key drivers and any financial impacts
- Provide analytical support on key business decisions,
- Build good working relationships with key contacts in order to understand the business and the business needs
- Work with the wider Finance team regarding financial reporting requirements and improvements
Key Skills & Education
- Qualified / Part Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years experience of management accounting, of which at least some should be with a large, complex, dataheavy busniess (Retail / Multi
- Site company background is strongly preferred howevernot essential
- Experience of planning, forecasting and delivery of insight through analysis
- Good balance sheet management experience
- Intermediate level of Excel skills (v/h lookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc)
- Experience with reporting and presentation of data
- Ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable commercial awareness
- Results driven, can work at fast pace whilst ensuring accuracy
- The ability to take ownership of an area and drive improvement
