Description
A strong information security and data protection culture is at the heart of what we do.

The primary purpose of this role will be to assist (and over time coordinate) the assurance work that we do with our clients, giving them the confidence that their information is safe in our hands.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our newly created Information Governance team.


A large proportion of your time will be dedicated to managing and developing the database of information about our systems, cyber risk, information security, business continuity and data protection.

It will also involve completing client questionnaires and coordinating responses with relevant client teams and other business support teams as appropriate.


In addition, you will be involved in supporting our Head of Information Governance and the Information Security & Business Continuity Manager with a wide range of tasks, including maintaining other documentation, producing reports and MI and a variety of ad hoc project work.


This role would suit someone with some relevant work experience, has a keen interest in information security or data protection and who is keen to develop new skills.

It's a diverse role and there will be lots of opportunities for training, learning and development, including the possibility of studying for an information security certification.


Responsibilities

Client assurance work:

  • Be the key point of contact for staff for client assurance work
  • Manage and develop the database of information about systems, information security, business continuity and data protection, as part of the firm's knowledgebase
  • Maintain other internal and clientfacing documentation on these topics
  • Manage the client assurance process, including completing questionnaires and coordinating responses with client teams and other business support teams as necessary
  • Assist in the preparation of material for client onsite assessments.
Additionally, you will help to support other team members with:

  • Regular reporting and MI for senior management
  • Maintaining internal policies and other documentation, including our Information Security Management System and data protection materials
  • Updating training materials for information security, business continuity and data protection
  • Reviewing due diligence responses from suppliers and prospective suppliers.
  • Maintaining systems used by the Information Governance team, including SharePoint Online sites
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Keeping up to date with industry best practice.

Qualifications/Experience:


Essential:

  • Some relevant work experience
  • A keen interest in information security or data protection
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and SharePoint Online

Preferred:

  • Professional services industry experience would be an advantage but not essential
