An excellent opportunity has arisen to join this market leading private equity firm in in their pan-European infrastructure and real asssets investment team.

The company are global, investing in a wide range of industries as well as other funds. This UK based team invests across Europe in infrastructure and real asset opportunities.

As an Associate, you will work closely with Principals and a Partner, providingsupport to senior team members on a wide range of transactions.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate investment opportunities through running of financial models, analysing due diligence materials, conducting desk research and creation of investments proposals
  • Take part in due diligence meetings and reference calls for deals, prepare meeting agendas and summary notes
  • Provide and present a recommendation to the wider team as well as the Investment Committee on deal findings and analysis
  • Assist with deal closing processes alongside the Investment Structuring Team and legal counsel
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct)
  • Assist in monitoring activities for portfolio companies
  • Converse with and build rapport with GPs (General Partners) in the industry through attendance of AGMs, industry events, deal meetings and other adhoc meetings
  • Support on origination initiatives through GP or intermediary avenues
  • Conduct market and sector research for use in pitchbooks, client's materials or external publications
  • Take responsibility for adhoc projects and nondeal related initiatives to promote growth of the team and wider business
  • Investor Relations and Marketing support
  • Respond to requests from the RFP team
  • Participate in client and fundraising meetings

Requirements:


  • Strong financial analysis and valuation modelling experience
  • Experience in the M&A team in an Investment Bank or the Investment team of a Buy Out firm
  • Exposure to Infrastructure transactions
  • Ability to assess risk and develop an appropriate diligence plan to address concerns
  • Ability to work to tight deadline with minimum supervision and to manage workloads efficiently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Knowledge of one or more European languages is advantageous, but not essential
