Description

An opportunity has arisen to support the Integrated Service Manager as a PA across the Bournemouth East locality Community Mental Health Teams.

We are looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills to join our existing teams.

This role will require the successful applicant to operate across both Dorset Healthcare and BCP Council, as the Community Mental Health Teams are an integrated service and employ both Health and Social Care professionals.

As a pivotal point of contact on behalf of the Integrated Service Manager you will need to be able to build effective working relationships, have a friendly approach and be able to ensure good levels of communication between yourself and services under the responsibility of the Integrated Service Manager.

The successful applicant will be required to provide efficient secretarial and administrative support for the Integrated Service Manager, and to liaise with members of the public and a variety of professionals, both in primary and secondary care services.

Given the nature of these services, we are seeking resilient applicants, with a compassionate work ethos who can thrive with the right level of support.

The role involves working on a wide variety of administrative tasks which include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling/managing appointments.
  • Preparing and sending letters.
  • Supporting administrative tasks across the range of services as needed.
  • Dealing with confidential records and sensitive information.
  • Taking and circulating meeting minutes.
You will need excellent IT skills, strong organisational capabilities, proven time management skills and an excellent telephone manner.

As a key member of the service, you will find the experience challenging, but rewarding and varied within the well-established and supportive teams, where we hold strong values about working in a patient centred manner, where their recovery and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, sound administrative experience and a willingness to learn to be a part of a growing service as we move towards new ways of working.
