Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of panels and fitting of electrical components in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Electrical wiring to schematic diagrams.
- In build and final assembly testing.
- Fault finding and diagnostics.
- Installation and testing of electrical panels and cable assemblies.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Adherence to all customer requirements and relevant standards.
- Maintenance of a right firsttime quality standard.
- Achieve efficiency levels required.
- Follow and complete all production documentation, ensuring full control of project information.
- Maintain all technical records.
- Ensure site works are completed to the required standard.
- Communicate build progress to immediate supervisor / inspection team.
- Report production holds and defects to immediate supervisor.
- Develop and maintain good team and cross functional working relationships.
- Actively contribute to CI in quality and performance.
- Successfully complete training required to achieve role responsibilities.
- Undertake any additional training and duties as required by the role.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are responsible for ensuring that you and any staff or sub-contractors under your management or control work safely and comply with all current and relevant health and safety and environmental legislation including the Railway Group and Company Standards
You are responsible for ensuring that you and your staff and sub-contractors under your management or control assess and control risks and plan and implement safe methods of working and are competent to carry out the task.
You are responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers, the general public and the environment is not affected by the activities of you, your staff and contractors under your control.
You must ensure that accidents, incidents or near misses to you or staff under your control are reported to your manager, and that the accident book is filled in promptly.
Experience:
- 5 years industry experience,
- 18th edition
- PLC knowledge,
- Experience of understanding and interpreting schematics, technical drawings and specifications.
- JIB/ECS gold card
- 2391 test and inspection qualification (Not essential but desirable).
Skills & Abilities:
- Able to work as part of a team as well as own initiative.
- Excellent communication, written and numerical skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good organizational and critical thinking skills
