Reporting the Finance Shared Service Manager, the role of the Accounts Receivables Lead will be to manage the collection of debts across a portfolio of circa 8,000 customer accounts.

Along with supporting the day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable department.

Actively involved in reducing the bad debt% and be a key player in helping to improve debt collection processes and improve the customer journey.


The responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Lead. Could this be you?


Success of the role is measured by process efficiency for all stakeholders, delivering meaningful results in the key performance metrics in AR, bad debt %, debtor days.

Actively participate in developing the Accounts Receivable function

  • Work with minimum supervision for collection of debts across a portfolio of circa 8,000 customer accounts to obtain payment, in both GBP and EUR.
  • Maintain high, daily incoming and outgoing call volume, minimum of 50 calls per day within a fastpaced environment.
  • Hold yourself and the team accountable to deliver meaningful results in reducing the debtor days and bad debt %
  • Where age and value of debt necessitates, negotiate payment arrangements that are within the customers' ability to pay and to continue to trade.
  • Completion of customer account reconciliations allocating credit notes, payments, debit notes and invoices
  • Reviewing customer credit limits and referring to management for increase/decrease
  • Be proactive in informing management of early potential debtor risks.
  • Record all conversations on ERP system and call date all notes for follow up action.
  • Assisting B2B customers with updating details on their accounts (address changes/change of business names/change of ownerships/general admin)
  • Work alongside other departments to improve the B2B customer journey.

Do you have the below skills?

  • Knowledge of Business Central
  • Experience in chasing debt preferred but not essential as training will be provided
  • Knowledge of basic accounting entries relating to invoicing (credit and debit memos, debtors and creditors)
  • Customer Service experience, able to manage customer queries, and resolve issues in professional and timely manner
  • Fluent spoken & written English
