Job summary:

This is a Permanent Position as an Administrative Officer.

***This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


HQ 1(UK) Signal Brigade is looking for a well organised and hardworking individual to join our dynamic and fast-paced small team of dedicated civilian and military Permanent Staff at Imjin Barracks.

The role will be expected to provide effective and efficient administrative support and work as integral part of office support.


The Administrative Officer is a member of a team where all are valued and encouraged to contribute to the wider execution and improvement of the Brigades' outputs and processes.


The post holder will be responsible for administration tasks and recording actions on appropriate IT systems (full training will be given).

To enable the smooth running of the office the post will provide specialist clerical support to the resource team often handling confidential material, to include; ensuring information on disciplinary cases is up to date.


There will be a requirement to photocopy, label and distribute casework documentation, manage Military Personal Administration system (JPA), other filing systems and track documents.

***Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: - Maintain and update weekly assurance of information entered onto IT systems by the Brigade's Units in accordance with Service Law and Warning and Sanctions.

  • Monitor and where necessary enter data onto IT system using external correspondence received from agencies such as Royal military Police (RMP), units and legal department.
  • Assure Warning and Sanctions case files once received from units to ensure they are compliant prior to sending to Army Personnel Services Group Casework Assurance for case closure.
  • Open and maintain confidential case files for all Service Law, Warnings and Sanctions and Service Complaint cases held within Head Quarters South West.
  • Manage and maintain the Discipline electronic and paper filing system.
  • Manage the Service Complaint Procedure.
  • Produce Administrative discharge packs, ensuring units' have met the correct requirements for discharge.
