The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company (ARRC) are supporting our client, a law firm who provides legal services to multinational companies covering a diverse range of industries and sectors, in their search for a Head of Risk and Compliance.


Reporting into a Partner, you will be heavily involved in embedding a risk management framework and monitoring regulatory compliance across the organisation.

You will also have line management responsibilities.


This position represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced risk or legal professional, to take a step up into a Head of position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate the Risk & Compliance frameworks, working closely with stakeholders to ensure organisational policies are executed effectively.
  • Develop frameworks for internal audit which measure compliance with our internal standards, identifying gaps and recommended improvements where necessary.
  • Actively review business processes and procedures with a focus on quality, continuous improvement and the delivery of excellent client service.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the firm's business continuity strategy.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the firms Lexcel accreditation.
  • Review and develop the firms incident management practice.
  • Negotiate and agree supplier contracts and oversee the firm's supplier management process.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified solicitor preferred or professional qualification in Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit (ICA, IRM, IIA etc).
  • Demonstrable risk experience within a legal, accountancy or financial compliance background.
  • A strong team player who is persuasive, with highly developed communication and influencing skills and the resilience to cope with very senior stakeholders and partners at all levels of business.
