Job Introduction

The Borough of Dudley is the historic heart of the Black Country.

With multi-million-pound investments including Metro, the Black Country Living Museum, DY5 Enterprise Zone and the town centre redevelopments, major growth is planned for the Borough.

Hours: 37 per week


Salary:
Grade 10


We are seeking a Senior Building Control Officer who can demonstrate a commitment to the provision of a first-class service.

You will be part of a highly professional and well-regarded team responsible for ensuring that building work complies with Building Regulations and other allied legislation.


You should have relevant Professional Membership of RICS, CABE or CIOB, including a record of Continuing Professional Development, be committed to undertaking any additional work involved in gaining appropriate statutory registration and be able to demonstrate the ability to perform the full range of duties that a post at this level requires.


In addition to the salary the post comes with a contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement, agile and flexible working.

You should be able to undertake hybrid working and daily site inspections, for which a mileage allowance is paid.
