About us


My Life is a highly respected growing charity, and we are currently seeking an Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant to support our CEO with all aspects of administration.


My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives.

My Life currently provide care and support to an increasing number of individuals who have complex health and social care needs across the North West of England.

Our staff are integral to the success of the charity as they are the ones making a real difference to people's lives.


Your Responsibilities


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a focused professional who is experienced in providing effective and efficient administrative support at Board Level.

In this unique and key role, you will manage your workload with professionalism and, demonstrate through experience, a sound understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting.

As PA to our CEO at My Life, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Schedule meetings between the CEO and their direct reports and the committees and groups of which they are a member.
  • Liaise with external event organisers to provide relevant biographical information and to ensure that advance slides are sent through where necessary.
  • Filter general information, queries, phone calls and invitations to the CEO by redirecting or taking forward such contact as appropriate.
  • Manage the process from "start to finish" of obtaining briefings and papers (as required) from the Leadership Team on behalf of the CEO, to ensure that they are fully prepared for all engagements.
  • Support and develop internal & external stakeholder relationships including the Chair of Trustees and individual Trustees.
  • Keep and maintain an accurate record of papers and electronic correspondence on behalf of the CEO.
  • Handle confidential information; organise and maintain files.
  • In the absence of the CEO, prepare correspondence on their behalf.
  • Meet and greet CEO's guests and ensure they are looked after.
  • Support Board administration with drafting agendas and taking minutes.
  • Diarising Board and subcommittee meetings.
  • Recording, transcribing and distributing minutes of meetings.
  • Logging and following up on action points.
  • Provide adhoc executive support to the Leadership Team as required.
  • Ensure all management meetings are coordinated, rooms prebooked, refreshments available and all the necessary technology is working to ensure effective communications.

What you'll need to Succeed


In order to succeed, you will be an experienced Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant with a comprehensive range of business management, secretarial, administrative and organisational skills.

You will be flexible, adaptable, able to prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative.

An effective communicator, you will have senior level experience in minute taking and be proficient with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

You also will have an understanding of the challenges and demands of a busy Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant post.

The salary will be up to £13.50 per hour, depending upon experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
