Key Responsibilities & Duties:
_

Lead a team of Logistics Operatives to achieve the daily requirements of the business.
In a timely manner assist the team to meet company goals
Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintain staff levels by supporting with recruitment, selection, orienting, and training employees
Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the Despatch process; monitoring and management of equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Supporting production achieving plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
Provide information by compiling, sorting, and analyzing performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety and Food Safety making sure other personnel are doing the same.
Adhere to and enforcing of procedures relating to the proper use and care of the equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
Adhere to all procedures regarding the operation of forklift trucks and ensure the team also adheres to the correct safety and legal aspects.
Assist the management team as and when required.
Keep all areas clean, operational and workable at all times.
Be proactive in looking for solutions to improve any working area.
Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending actions.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
