Key Responsibilities & Duties:
_
- Lead a team of Logistics Operatives to achieve the daily requirements of the business.
- In a timely manner assist the team to meet company goals
- Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain staff levels by supporting with recruitment, selection, orienting, and training employees
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the Despatch process; monitoring and management of equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Supporting production achieving plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
- Provide information by compiling, sorting, and analyzing performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety and Food Safety making sure other personnel are doing the same.
- Adhere to and enforcing of procedures relating to the proper use and care of the equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
- Adhere to all procedures regarding the operation of forklift trucks and ensure the team also adheres to the correct safety and legal aspects.
- Assist the management team as and when required.
- Keep all areas clean, operational and workable at all times.
- Be proactive in looking for solutions to improve any working area.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending actions.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Types:
