Responsibilities:


  • Work oneonone with students with SEN, providing support and assistance as needed
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs)
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the needs and abilities of students with SEN
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students with SEN
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to SEN provision, including maintaining records and reporting progress

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs preferred
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to support students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teachers and other support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN
  • A valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate registered on the update service
