Are you an experienced marketing agency Account Manager looking to step up to Account Director level? We're partnering with a well respected and growing B2B marketing agency who are currently expanding their client services department.

In this role you'llget involved in all stages of project development, from brief taking, to market research, concept development, strategic planning, copywriting, tactical execution and evaluation.

As part of a wider team and reporting in to the Client Services Director, you'll be calling upon all of your marketing agency account management expertise, providing a responsive and quality service, whilst developing sustainable and profitable client relationships.

As Account Director, you'll also have direct line management responsibilities for more junior members of the account management team.


You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development of client marketing and communications strategies, in conjunction with other members of the client services team and the inhouse creative teams.
  • Working within established process frameworks, providing timely and accurate reporting with clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attending regular face to face meetings and Zoom/Teams calls to take briefs, and present proposals and work, to existing clients and new business.
  • Supporting with growing client revenue by hitting quarterly targets for increasing year on year growth.
  • Assisting with digital PR campaigns, focusing on identifying targets and performing outreach.
  • Reporting on client profitability and reporting at client and job level for your nominated accounts.
About You...


The Account Director will need to have at least 3 years experience within a marketing agency or B2B in-house marketing department.

In addition to great interpersonal and organisational skills, you'll also be able to think commercially and strategically,with demonstrable examples of success.

Here's some of the key experience you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent all round communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong project management and time management skills; you'll be used to spinning many plates and be able to effectively manage client workloads.
  • International project experience and a base understanding of how brand propositions and global campaigns need to be structured.
  • A track record of attending networking events, exhibitions, professional association events, awards dinners, industry speaker events, and more.
  • The ability to manage people effectively in terms of resolving client, supplier, or account issues and also helping and developing junior members of the team.
  • Successfully working with 810 clients a months on a range of marketing work, from day to day marketing activities, through to larger oneoff projects.

This Account Director role is with a growing, Manchester based, marketing agency. They specialise in B2B marketing campaigns for a range of businesses; from SMEs through to multi-national corporations. Some of the sectors you'll be getting involved withinclude logistics, energy, and pharmaceuticals, amongst others.


In addition to an attractive salary of £40k - £45k DOE, the company also adopts a hybrid working model, typically 2 or 3 days a week in their modern office (however they are super-flexible).

Start times can also flex, with most staff starting between 8.30amand 9.30am.

You'll also get 25 days holiday, plus your birthday, plus bank holidays off. There are plenty of additional benefits too, including paid car parking, a laptop and mobile personal allowance, and stakeholder pension, plus other benefits after 2 years service(PMI, contributory pension)
