Description

In England, a young person must be in part-time education or training until they're 18.

As this is a full time Non-apprenticeship position, applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age to apply.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a full time Band 2 Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and caring team on the short stay unit of Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Specific duties will include, following appropriate training:

Taking and recording observations such as temperature, peak flow, BMI (If trained and competent)
Blood glucose monitoring (If trained and competent)
Urinalysis
Venepuncture (If trained and competent)
Ensuring specimens are delivered to Pathology
ECG recording (If trained and competent)
Stocking up the treatment and consultation rooms
Chaperoning patients to scans/appointments
Case note delivery
Daily maintaining clean and safe treatment rooms and general ward areas.
Ensuring patient identity, and next of kin details are correct on all documentation.
Specific patient paperwork documentation

To undertake such duties as maybe required from time to time and which are consistent with the responsibilities of the band and individual's level of competency.
