Job Purpose


Lead and manage the firms Operations Securities Financing department ensuring all middle office and back-office activities are completed in a timely, accurate and fully controller manner.

These activities include Trade Support, Collateral Management & AssetServicing across stock lending and repo products.

Modernize our Securities Financing operational processes / controls and implement a complete and fully robust operational control framework


Deliver the operational transformation of our Repo and Lending systems and tools as part of our Securities Financing Roadmap Project across the next 12 to 18 months.


Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and be responsible for all Securities Financing operations activities facing to AXA IM Securities Financing Trading and our wider AXA IM Front Office / Operational expertise including the following functional responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade matching, instruction, and settlement of all lending transactions
  • Ensure timely management and reporting of all CSDR Penalties and Claims
  • Ensure timely and accurate collateral management agreement and settlement on all lending and repo transactions
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all asset servicing activities on all lending and repo's (corporate events instructions, coupon claims, fee billing, front to middle to custody reconciliations )
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the internal securities financing books and records across all Trading, Front Office, and Middle Office systems.
  • Providing lending and repo investment support to all AXA IM Expertise's and act as primary contact point for them for all operational questions across all middle and backoffice activities on repo.
  • Manage resources within the team in accordance with the AXA IM Performance Management standards
  • Modernize our Securities Financing operational processes / controls and implement a complete and fully robust operational control framework
  • Deliver the operational transformation of our Repo and Lending systems and tooling as part of our Securities Financing Roadmap Project across the next 12 to 18 months
  • Manage the relationship with our Securities Financing systems / market participant providers for the respective perimeter, process improvement, quality assessment and review, relay and facilitate Expertise requirements
  • Manage and animate the relationship with the various internal Trading and Front Office expertise, build and support action plan, a proactive servicing of the various Expertise's
  • Internal management reporting (MI, KPI, Process Improvements)
  • Provide leadership for the Operations function by contributing to the UK Investment Support management meetings and day to day management

Role Requirements
Education/ Qualifications

Experience

  • Proven knowledge of securities financing operational end to end activities, strong trading relationship management and strong knowledge to external vendors / market participant relationship management
  • Demonstrated experience of managing and leading team'
  • Change management and Project transformation business coordination and leadership
  • Knowledge and experience within an asset management environment (either on securities financing or on other products such as Cash Securities or OTC)
Knowledge and Skills

  • Project management skills; experience in developing and implementing complex processes in a regulated environment
  • Proven ability to resolve complex issues using a winwin approach
  • Fluent in English. Ideally with French as a second language
  • Very strong communication and influencing skills
  • Proven leadership, change management and strategic thinking skills
