This is a temporary one-year placement opportunity, open to students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree in Business and Management or similar.

This opportunity will be predominantly home-based with regular requirements to attend office locations.


Based within the Council's HR Shared Service Centre, the Recruitment Team provides advice and operational support to both Rotherham Council and Doncaster Council managers and staff; on a range of resourcing topics including recruitment advertising, contracts of employment and pre-employment checks, and plays an important role in the safeguarding processes of both Authorities.

As part of the Recruitment Team, you will be responsible for the transactional management of the end-to-end recruitment process.

You will work closely with line managers to support them through the recruitment process, ensuring that statutory employment regulations are adhered to and best practice is maintained.

You will have responsibility across a broad spectrum of recruitment & resourcing activities, from initial vacancy advertising, assisting with interviews and assessment centres, through to compliance and the processing of criminal record checks.

To be considered for this position you must be currently studying for a Degree in Business and Management or similar.
