We are looking for a enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join our busy team to Undertake a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard (15 months) while working as part of the Procurement team.
To provide of an efficient, cost effective, and responsive procurement service, accurately inputting requisitions while seeking improved rates and undertaking competitive exercises as agreed by the Operational Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate pricing and input of requisitions for goods, services and maintenance.
- Assist with sourcing suppliers with advice from the Operational Purchasing Manager.
- Assist in obtaining quotations for goods / services as directed by the Operational Purchasing Manager.
- Assist in meeting the Procurement Departments savings target.
- Demonstrate good communication and Customer Service Skills.

Main
Responsibilities:
- Assist with raising the profile of the Procurement Department and promote the benefits of effective and best procurement practice
- Undertake other relevant procurement tasks as and when required.
- Assist in creating and managing relationships with end users and suppliers to develop product knowledge and other relevant information
- Assist with raising the profile of the Procurement Department and promote the benefits of effective and best procurement practice
- Assist in developing relationships with other Executive organisations within the NHS e.g. Crown Commercial Service (CCS), NHS Supply Chain and surrounding Trusts
- Assist in providing support e.g. product information and product expenditure reports as requested
- Act in accordance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and Standing Orders
- Assist in creating a culture which will ensure the delivery of a professional, fit for purpose purchasing and supply service
