Responsibilities
As a General Operative, you'll be working within the Highways Team and will form part of a large work force delivering several services across the contract including reactive maintenance, immediate response, schemes, minor planned drainage works.
Your day to day will include:
- When trained to do so, operate a variety of plant and equipment to carry out required duties effectively
- Assist with ensuring the site and company equipment is always secure. It is paramount all health and safety measures are adhered to and followed at all times.
- Working within different teams you will from part of our call out rota system covering immediate response throughout the year and winter maintenance duties/call outs between October & April
Who are we looking for?
This role of a General Operative is great for you if you have:
- 12ab Lantra traffic management trained with a basic Lantra VRS qualification
- A full driving licence as well as a valid CSCS card
- Understand asset management awareness and have experience and knowledge of strict health & safety operations and its practical implications
