Position:
Depot General Assistant
/ Driver - Basildon

Newmarket Plant Hire is a multi-depot independent Plant & Tool Hire group.

We currently have a vacancy for a Depot General Assistant at our Basildon Depot.

Reporting directly to the Depot Manager.

This is a varied role that will include Yard Management, Plant Inspections, delivery & collection cover & the test & run of small tools hire equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Yard maintenance ensuring the yard operation runs smoothly & efficiently
Plant Inspections, clean down, refuel, etc
Test & run small tools machines, carrying out predetermined safety & pre

- hire checks

Delivery & collection of light plant & tool hire equipment
Ensure all associated paperwork is completed promptly and efficiently.
Ensure Health & Safety and Company procedures are met at all times.
Be reactive and punctual at all times.
Have the ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team.

Experience

Good local knowledge
Previous experience of test & run preferred but not essential
Full UK driving licence, Including towing.
CSCS card holder is advantageous

Benefits

Rate of pay dependent on previous experience
Hours of work. 45 or 47.5 hour basic per week Mon-Fri. Overtime may be required to meet business demands.
Holidays 30 days per year inclusive of statutory bank holidays

Salary:
£26,800.00-£28,300.00 per year
