Description

You will work as part of a wider team within the PCMH Dementia team and work with Dr Clarissa Giebel (PI) and others.

The project is funded by The Pandemic Institute for 18 months, and the postdoctoral research assistant would be joining the project for 12 months at 80% FTE (4 days a week) starting 1st of April 2023.

The project addresses the long-term impacts of the pandemic on health and social care delivery and access for people with dementia and unpaid carers, and builds on successfully completed and published research conducted by the PI and her team.
  • The project involves a systematic review, qualitative remote interviews, and co production workshops.
The project builds on a portfolio of research into inequalities in dementia care within the PCMH Dementia Team and the Liverpool Dementia & Ageing Research Forum and is a co-produced project involving LJMU, TIDE, SURF Liverpool and other organisations as well as unpaid dementia carers.
  • You will contribute to the ethics submission, recruit participants, collect qualitative interview data remotely, analyse transcripts, and contribute to the dissemination of the findings, and contribute to the delivery of the systematic review.
The RA will co-facilitate discussions at the co-production workshops and work with lived experts and Charity team members to support the delivery of the project. You will attend monthly team meetings and attend in-between meetings with the PI and other team members where required, and actively engage with the Liverpool Dementia and Ageing Research Forum and associated events and activities.
  • This post is available on a fixed term basis from 1 April 2023 until 31 March 2024.
