ISP People Adviser Role Profile

Purpose of Role


Reporting to the Group Head of People Operations, the ISP People Adviser is responsible for ensuring a positive employee experience for the ISP Central team, the provision of expert HR advice and guidance and providing additional HR support on ISP Group projects and initiatives.

ISP People Advisor Key Responsibilities

People Advice and Support

  • Provide the London Office and ISP Central team people managers with timely advice, guidance and support on employee relations, legislation, People policies, processes and procedures covering the full employee lifecycle, escalating to the Group Head of People Operations as appropriate.
  • Main contact for London Office and ISP Central team colleagues, liaising with Group Head of People Operations and, for those colleagues based regionally, regional HR as appropriate.
  • Draft offers, contracts and contract amendments and coordinating the background checking and referencing process. Liaising with line managers and the Talent team to draft and update role profiles in line with ISP standards and maintain a role profile library.
  • Draft consultant and selfemployed contracts, managing the background checking and referencing process.
  • Key point of contact for health, safety and wellbeing in the London office, working with the Office Manager / People Administrator to ensure adequate risk assessments, fire, health and safety and first aid training and liaising with the Group Health and Safety Director on workstation assessments.

Performance Development

  • Support the Group Head of People Operations with the implementation and management of the performance development process for the London office and ISP Central team.
  • Guide and coach the Central Team people managers to handle any performance issues.
  • Support with the implementation of the performance development process in regions.

HRIS

  • Work with the Group People Systems Lead and Office Manager / People Administrator to ensure HRIS data for the London office and ISP Central Team is robust and accurate and can be relied upon for payroll and reporting / analytics purposes.
  • HRIS champion for the ISP Central Team and assist in providing additional support and guidance for regions as necessary, working with the Group People Systems Lead and Group IT to organise and implement additional training, training manuals and materials and follow up where appropriate.
  • Support with the implementation of new HRIS.

Employee Experience, Engagement and Wellbeing

  • Responsible for driving employee engagement within the London office and wider ISP Central team, liaising with the Group People Analytics and Engagement Analyst to deliver the NPS pulse surveys and employee engagement surveys and running focus groups to increase insight and formulate action plans.
  • Member of the group wellbeing network, supporting in engraining wellbeing so it is part of a constant discussion and embedded in our culture and way of doing things.
  • Supports HR and ESG to influence and deliver the diversity, equity and inclusion actions from the People Strategy.
  • Ensure all new joiners have onboarding schedules and meet with all new joiners as part of their onboarding to learn from their feedback.
  • Carry out exit interviews for the London office, ensuring a positive offboarding experience, collating, evaluating and reporting on feedback and using this to suggest improvements to the employee offer and experience.

Payroll, pension and benefits

  • Coordinate the monthly London payroll, crosschecking as required and preparing for Group Head of People Operations sign off.
  • Oversee the Payroll Provider's management of monthly pay and pension administration, picking up and addressing any issues as appropriate.
  • Together with the Group Head of People Operations as part of a wider approach to benefits and reward, review and suggest improvements to the benefit offering for the London office and ISP Central Team.

Policies and processes
