Accounts Assistant required for a very successful business based in Verwood. This company are hard-working, professional and friendly with an excellent working environment, culture and benefits.


Skills you will need to have:

  • Some experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and decision making
  • Good standard of numeracy to analyse facts and figures
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident, mature attitude with good negotiation and social skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Credit clearing customer orders
  • Sales Ledger queries and adjustments
  • Building Relationships with customers and controlling funds
  • Entry of bank receipts onto the accounting system
  • Sending out monthly customer statements
  • Processing of payments and refunds on the banking system
  • Answering phone calls and use of the intercom
  • Ad hoc duties as required within the accounts team (filing, administration duties etc.)
  • Reconciliation of ship & debit claims ready for the month end accounts
  • Raising of inhouse credit notes on a daily basis
  • Analysing customer accounts and managing risk in terms of credit limits given
  • Bank reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis
