Parking Services currently manages the provision and maintenance of car parks and the civil enforcement of parking and bus lane facilities throughout the borough.

The service will change significantly over the next few months as the Council takes over the responsibility from the Police for the enforcement of moving traffic contraventions.

With the new moving traffic enforcement powers additional work load has been created within the Parking Office.

We are looking to increase the back office team to work particularly in the field of processing parking and bus lane appeals and consideration of representations through to adjudication stage.

The ideal applicant will have an understanding of the legislative framework used in the adjudication of parking, bus lane and moving traffic appeals.

They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal with a range of enquiries from the general public often in challenging circumstances both in writing and by telephone.

They will be expected to supervise, motivate, monitor and develop a small team whilst liaising with a range of governmental bodies associated with civil parking and moving traffic enforcement.

If you are enthusiastic, flexible and have a professional commitment to work we are waiting to hear from you.

For an informal discussion please contact Glynnis Jeavons on /

Closing Date: 3 September 2023
