Join Police Digital Service as ServiceNow Administrator

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage, configure and maintain ServiceNow platform, including Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Configuration, and Service Catalogue management modules.
  • Develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions, workflows, reports, and integrations to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with process owners to maintain well designed workflows.
  • Troubleshooting of ServiceNow issues with collaboration with other teams such as Technology and Cyber.
  • Monitor system performance and provide recommendations to optimize performance and scalability of the platform.
  • Supporting the management of users, groups, permissions and business area data segregation as agreed with the relevant Service Delivery owners.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
  • Work with endusers to identify and troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, including planning, testing, and deployment and ensuring testing to validate the company's business continuity and disaster recovery plans for ServiceNow.

What you need to succeed in the role:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required.
  • 2+ years of experience in ServiceNow administration, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow core modules and functionality including CSDM (Common Service Data Module)
  • Experience in developing and deploying selfservice workflows, reports, and integrations in ServiceNow
  • Experience in ITIL Service Management practices, with a good understanding of ITIL framework.
  • A good working experience of Azure Logic Apps
  • A good working understanding of DevSecOps lifecycles.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
  • Proven track record of delivering transformational change, ideally in the Policing, Defence or UK Public Sectors.
  • Demonstrable passion and curiosity about delivering high quality, high performing user experiences and technology products and solutions.
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management, problem solving and building trust are all essential requirements for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to speak in plain English and to effectively engage with the senior Law Enforcement stakeholder community with varying technical skills.
  • Ability to win hearts and minds around good solution delivery and convince stakeholders to embed and mature their user experience capabilities.
  • High standards—you will know what good looks like and want to deliver it.
  • Current knowledge of the technical development industry: trends, innovation, and best practices.
