Details:


As our Head of Section, you will be responsible for the staff and curriculum standards in the A Level plus and full time GCSE delivery area.

You will ensure they are offering a transparent, responsive, and high-quality service to the College.


You will provide leadership for the curriculum area, developing and implementing operational and improvement plans in line with agreed objectives.

You will build and manage programme teams, developing productive working relationships with colleagues, and manage, appraise, and develop staff, always promoting equality of opportunity.

You will contribute to the recruitment, selection and development of colleagues and foster a culture of innovation, including embedding the use of new technologies within the curriculum.


You'll have experience of successfully monitoring and supporting 'at-risk' learners to achieve or exceed their potential and of leading/managing curriculum teams, with a track record of making sustained improvements.

You'll have high personal standards and expectations, be receptive to new ideas and initiatives, and have a strong vision for the improvement and development of the curriculum area.

A teaching qualification is not essential, we just ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
