Goodman Masson are working with one of the leading integrated energy companies in exploration, production, transport and marketing of oil and natural gas to source a senior risk analyst to join the Global Gas and LNG Team based in London.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Reporting daily MVaR, exposures, and stress tests and being able to describe the main underlying drivers
Actively collaborating with front office to comprehend trading methods that underlie the risk metrics being used
To ensure that trading activity is legal and in line with the desired trading strategy, constructively challenge it and offer independent perspectives.
Excellent math skills and very good Excel or Python knowledge
Good problem-solving abilities and the capacity to comprehend and model complex energy supply chains
A thorough understanding of the energy trading markets, particularly LNG
