Description

The Role:

To provide direct clinical care, which encompasses dietetic assessment, treatment and management of patients.

To act as a source of expertise on nutritional therapy to patients, general public, other health care professionals including medical staff and GPs.

What we'll need you to bring:

  • Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
  • The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

It would be great if you also have:

  • Degree or post graduate diploma in Dietetics
  • Evidence of further training/CPD in dietetic practice
  • Experience of training other staff groups on nutrition
  • Evidence of involvement in projects/clinical effectiveness work.
  • Interest and/or experience in student training.
  • Good knowledge of uptodate dietetic practice.
  • Knowledge of audit, standard development and supporting change in practice with teams.
  • Knowledge of specialist dietetic interventions relevant to post
  • Ability to prioritise caseload/work.
  • Skills in group work.
  • Networking skills
  • Flexible.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking

Contract type:

Fixed Term for 1 year

Full time

37.5 hours


Location and Working Pattern:

This role will be based in Dietetics within University Hospital Hairmyres.
