  • WWT staff, colleagues across the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts, funders, corporate organizations
  • Hours: Fulltime / 35 hours Per Week.
  • Responsible for:
  • Fundraising volunteers
  • Job Purpose:
  • To secure major grants, drive unrestricted income and build relationships with funders and corporate partners to support delivery of the Trust's 2030 strategy of more space for nature, with more people on nature's side.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Grants and FundingWork with colleagues across the Trust to identify and prioritise funding needs, working with the senior leadership team to ensure all bids align to strategic priorities

  • Coordinate a grant funding pipeline to help Warwickshire Wildlife Trust deliver its
- goals for nature's recovery

  • Provide advice on new funding opportunities to the Senior Management Team, in line with the Trust's 2030 strategy
  • Support the research and development of new 'off the shelf' projects that can be submitted when large funding pots become available
  • Work closely with relevant technical leads and teams to gain all the required information for a funding proposa
  • Write, and support others, to write compelling funding bid
  • Maintain a full overview of WWT's funding activity and funder relationships via the Trust's CRM system, producing regular reports to provide insight and inform future planning
  • Ensure anniversary reports and post completion acknowledgements are monitored and submitted.
Stakeholder Management

  • Identify opportunities to connect with funders and champion our cause
  • Influence funders priorities and strategies by coordinating the Trust's response to funding consultations.
  • Display excellent relationship management with funders and prospective funders
  • Maintain a strategic overview of opportunities and relationships, and support colleagues in managing their relationships with funders
  • Work with the communications and media team to raise the profile of grantfunded initiatives and projects
  • Research and propose corporate partnership opportunities that have the potential to support the Trust's strategic aims
  • Be the point person for corporate enquiries across the Trust, working with the Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager, Director of Marketing and Fundraising and the wider senior management team to ensure that partnerships opportunities are optimally managed
  • Provide account management to established corporate partnerships
  • Help to develop a portfolio of initiatives that can be supported by key strategic corporate partnerships
  • Develop the Trust's ability to building a clear understanding of corporate partnerships via the CRMFundraising Support
  • Work with the membership team to identify opportunities for partnership development through individual giving
  • Ensure that the Trust is up to date and compliant with legislation, regulators and GDPR requirements in relation to fundraising
  • Input into the overall Fundraising strategy, using your industry knowledge to bring in new fundraising streams and ideas to help drive our message to the relevant audience.
  • Stay up to date with current best practice in fundraising techniques and track any upcoming trendsGeneral ResponsibilitiesPromote the work, mission and vision of the Trust at all times.
  • Work across teams to develop and implement activity plans across the 2030 strategy business plan.
  • Use every opportunity commensurate with other duties to contribute to the Trust's membership recruitment, fundraising and engagement of people.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service in all dealings with the public.
  • Ensure continuous development of skills and knowledge required for the post, undergoing training and performance review as required by the Trust.
  • Work within all the policies and procedures of the Trust, ensuring own compliance with the Trust's health and safety policies and procedures and that of any resources for whom you are responsible.
