Responsibilities:

Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
Select and install the correct tooling for each job
Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the correct dimensions for bending
Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements
Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
Grind, assemble, and weld components as needed
Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and cleaning
Use hand tools effectively to assist in the production process

Experience:

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in sheet metal fabrication
Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and selecting appropriate tooling
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to grind, assemble, and weld components accurately
Knowledge of sheet metal properties and behaviours
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues
Competency in using various hand tools for fabrication tasks
