Job Title:
Hostel Receptionist

Salary:
Grade A1; £18,596

Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (3 on / 3 off rolling shift pattern)

Location:
YMCA Hostel, St Rumbold's Street, Lincoln

Job Purpose:
To ensure the efficient running of the hostel reception by using the skills of good communication and customer care.
Also to have a welcoming attitude to visitors to the YMCA who may require assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To ensure the efficient running of the hostel reception by using the skills of good communication and customer care.
To have a welcoming attitude to visitors to the YMCA who may require assistance.
To take rent and other payments from residents and cash up at the end of the shift.
Enter applicants and new residents on to the computer system.
To keep the reception area tidy at all times.

Person Specification:

Experience of dealing with people in a customer based environment, for a minimum of one year is essential.
Working knowledge of administration and cash handling.
Good communication skills and telephone manner.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
