Rate:
£21.45 per hour umbrella


We are currently seeking a dynamic individual with from a financial background to join our client's team as a key member of the engineering core function_._ As part of this crucial role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering operational requirements across the business, with a specific focus on the gathering and collating of budgetary spend requirements.

As the Finance Operations Assistant the main key responsibilities for this role include:


Roles and responsibilities of the Finance Operations Assistant:

  • This role will support the delivery of the Operational and Headcount budgets
  • You will work closely with the management team in order to gather and collate their budgetary spend requirements
  • Maintain and manage cross functional budget plans
  • Support functional requirements (e.g. Supplier quotes, raising of purchase orders)
  • Complete, check and monitor internal ERP systems.
  • Ensure and check all associated processes are complete and accurate in a timely manner.

Desired Skills and Experience for the role of Finance Operations Assistant:

Required:

  • An individual with a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable
  • Finance literate with the knowledge of expenditure, cash flow and accruals.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of using Excel
  • Excellent customer facing experience
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain and communicate complex ideas
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of key business systems and processes
  • The ability to work within a team

Preferred:

  • Finance qualification or relevant experience
  • Experience of automotive engineering environment would be an advantage but not essential.
  • ERP system experience would be preferred but training can be provided.
