The Role


Do you have sales, business development or account management experience? Or perhaps you've worked in recruitment in an employer-facing role? If so, then come and join our growing Employer Solutions team at the start of an exciting project.


We are recruiting for an Employer Solutions Consultant to build and maintain relationships with employers and our customers providing a pivotal and valued service within the team by supporting the sustainable employment of disadvantaged people within our communities.

You will proactively engage with hiring managers across a wide range of sectors to understand their recruitment needs and co-design a routeway into employment for our participants by focusing on matching skillsets and values with local employment opportunities.


The strong relationships you create will enable you to promote sector routeways, work trials, placements, shadowing, insight days, and increase inclusive employment practices, such as the Disability Confident scheme.

Fedcap deliver a range of programmes supporting unemployed people 'back to work'. This role forms part of our new Pioneer Scheme.


You will be

  • An advocate for Fedcap and the Pioneer scheme, embedding a strong understanding of the benefits of sustainable employment and how we can support local businesses and our customers cohesively. This will be achieved through a collaborative and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Working collaboratively with local teams to identify new and existing opportunities using key data to target prospective employers in the region
  • Taking responsibility for generating business leads with potential employers through a range of approaches including telephone, facetoface and delivering presentations.
  • Identifying opportunities for the development and growth of 'employer accounts' through following sales process, including qualifying opportunities and escalation.
  • Identifying day 1 job start requirements and supporting the employer to tailor an induction to support the participant with prework readiness check and any additional support through for, example, Access to Work.
  • Providing inwork support through regular telephone holistic support to the participant addressing all support needs to maximise the opportunity for sustainment.
  • Ongoing reviews to support upskilling and progression whilst in employment

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience of Recruitment, Sales, Business Development, Account Management or similar target driven environment.
  • Experience of networking with external partners & agencies, working in a customer focused and service delivery environment
  • Demonstrable experience in rapport building across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using social media, IT systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of legislative employment regulations including safeguarding
  • Knowledge of the local regional and national labour market & employers
