The department


Library & Learning Services supports learning and teaching across the University through the development and maintenance of the University's library collections, and through engagement with students to develop their academic and digital skills.

The service also supports the University's research activity through provision of the University's research output and research data repositories.

Library and Learning Services also provides accessibility services, as well as expertise in accessibility and inclusive learning, to students and staff.


The role


We are looking to appoint to the post of Academic Liaison Librarian—an important role in our learning and library collection development offering to students.

Working as part of the York-based Academic Services Team (one of Library & Learning Services' three core teams), and alongside the London Student Support and Guidance Team, your focus will be to provide expertise in information literacy, student learning, and library collection development.

The role will also involve working in partnership with academic colleagues to embed information literacy development support within the curriculum, ensuring a consistent student experience across all programmes and Schools, but with a specific focus on making a significant contribution to the teaching, learning and assessment experience at London Campus.

You will have budgetary responsibility for developing the library resources for London in line with teaching, learning and research needs.
