Job description Halo Recruitment are working with a fab client based in the Fareham area who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team. The role - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Accounts team,

Reporting to the Financial Director the main function of this role is to provide accounts administration including subcontractor payments, maintenance of subcontractor accounts, payment of invoices and purchase ledger.

As a vital member of the Accounts Team you will ensure that you align your role with departmental strategies and changing business dynamics or goals of the Group.

Provide Finance and Accounts administration for the Group Companies.

Ensure all invoices are promptly logged on receipt and duly authorized prior to processing.

Ensure correct allocation of expenses is assigned to budget holders and relevant budget, so accurate records of budget expenditure are achieved.

Maintenance of all static data (Bank accounts, insurance, subcontractor addresses, payment terms, etc.)

Ensuring final reconciliation of statements and monthly reconciliations is achieved

Filing and archiving of all subcontractor and purchase invoices.

Any other tasks deemed reasonable and relevant within the Accounts Department. Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar

Ideally AAT level 3

Previous administration experienceProven mathematic skills

Proficient IT skills in particular Microsoft and Excel

Ideally experience of using Coins

Ability to problem solve and resolve issues effectively

Good communication both verbal and written

An all-round appreciation of general company accounting processes and regulations.

Hours:
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 30-minute lunch break.
