The Role


The Business Systems Team Leader at Almac Pharma Services is responsible for the development and management of a team and process to support the global operational use and improvement of business systems.

This role involves overseeing a team of business system specialists who are responsible for delivering changes to existing systems, maximizing user adoption, and ensuring successful implementation of new systems.


The Team Leader will collaborate with internal departments and Almac IS to meet business system needs and prioritize updates in accordance with the company's growth framework.

Continuously improving processes, ensuring solution design aligns with long-term business objectives, and maximizing adoption of business systems are key responsibilities of this role.

The Team Leader will also facilitate effective communication to stakeholders, ensure all business system continuous improvement activities have an owner, and mitigate change delivery risks.


Additionally, the Business Systems Team Leader will champion the creation of an environment where business users are not impacted by system problems, ensuring problems are properly addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

Collaboration with project teams that involve or impact existing business systems is also required.

As the leader of the team, the Team Leader will be responsible for all administrative management functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and resource management.

Ensuring compliance with Quality Management metrics and performing other duties as assigned by Senior Management are also part of this role.


Key Requirements

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, permanent employment in the UK
  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Previous experience of managing a team

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience of working in a pharmaceutical and GMP environment
  • Previous experience in the use of Continuous Improvement and Lean principals
  • Previous experience of operating a computerised inventory system
  • Experience with implementation of computerised systems

This role is based on a flex working pattern with core hours of 10:00 - 16:00, working hours are between 07:00 - 19:00.

This role will also be eligible for hybrid working following the successful completion of probation.
